No date on title page. 375 pages. Very good condition. Binding is strong and tight. Corners square. Head and foot of the spine lightly bumped. Pages are bright and glossy. No marks or writing. Beautiful, full-color photography. Dust jacket is crisp and free of tears or creasing. Some very light rubbing to the head and foot of the spine. Overall very good condition. SIGNED by the author on the half-title page, where he has written, " For Tom- Thanks for all you do! Bruce Beehler 15 June 2020". This book is from the collection of Thomas Lovejoy. Dr. Lovejoy was an influential ecologist, field biologist, and activist; former head of the Amazon Biodiversity Center, World Wildlife Fund, and advisor to the United Nations and Smithsonian Institution. He is credited with introducing the term 'biological diversity' to the mainstream environmental movement. In addition, he was a passionate collector of books on the natural world.
