Images and Other Poems," was highly praised by Donald Hall and was a finalist for the National Book Award in 1975. Laska a seminal figure in the Appalachian literary renaissance of the Seventies, and unofficial leader of the group known as the "Soupbean Poets." Of the present volume - perhaps the only book ever to be issued under a Prince, WV imprint - OCLC notes only 10 holdings.
