It was probably privately distributed to friends and family. Information on the author was found on the Wisconsin Veterans Museum site wher…e they conducted an oral history interview in 1999 and mentioned that he was in the Army as a medic during WWII and eventually moved to Madison and practiced medicine. Included is an abstract of this interview. Inscribed by Author(s).

With a photographer's stamp on the verso (noted only as "Dominic"), along with a library stamp. From the archive of the PIX Agen…cy, a photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969. A filmed version of the National Theatre Company play originally directed by Glen Byam Shaw, which was based in turn on the 1900 play by August Strindberg. In their isolated home on the coast of Sweden, an aging, mentally ill ex-military captain engages in vicious battles of will with his wife, a former actress whose marriage ended her career. Set in Sweden. One photograph 8 x 9.5 inches, one photograph 7.5 x 10 inches. Near Fine.

In 1966 Hamady joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he would teach papermaking, letterpress printing, and bookbinding for more than three decades.
