Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. A vintage softcover trade catalog by The De Laval Separator Company, 31 pages. Saddle-stapled binding. Bound in blue paper wraps with title at front cover. This catalog has been glued inside brown paper wraps. Printed on thick, slick paper with many black and white illustrations, tables and diagrams throughout. This catalog presents a lengthy descriptive section on "The De Laval Method of Centrifugal Clarification," a line of centrifuges and a section on the "Mechanical Construction" of the De Laval Centrifuges. It includes entries for the "No. 600 De Laval Multiple Clarifier," the "No. 301 De Laval Mutiple Clarifier," the "No. 400 De Laval Centrifugal Filter," among others. Each entry includes the name of the product, an illustration and whether or not the centrifuge is belt, electric, or turbine driven. Also includes sections entitled "How the Multiple Clarifier Bowl Works," and "How the Centrifugal Filter Bowl Works." Specification tables for all of the included models are included at the rear of this catalog. Though no date is given, I would estimate that this catalog is from either the 1910s or early 1920s, because of the type of illustration and the "OCT 24 1921" stamp at the front cover. There are circular stains to the front cover. "667.7" is written in the upper right corner in blue ink and "OCT 24 1921" stamp in the upper right corner of the front cover. "667.7" is written in lead pencil and "De Laval (the) Separator Co." is in black ink along the upper edge of the front cover of the brown paper wraps. Otherwise, pages are clean and free of writing. There is a wrinkle near the bottom of the spine that effects every page (see photo). Binding is tight and strong, with no loose pages.…

"Div 2" in black ink, crossed out with lead pencil and replaced by "S F 247" at the top right corner of the front cover. "29010" stamp to the top left corner of the inside front cover. Pink "Div. 2 Paper No. Filed NO 18 1912" stamp to the title page. "DSI" stamp to the lower left corner of the final page. Otherwise, pages are clean and free of writing. The binding is tight and strong, with no loose pages. A descriptive catalog on the application, design and use of "The New De Laval Centrifugal Milk Clarifier." With sections entitled "Need of Cleaning Market Milk," "The Need of Clarification," "Inferior Means of Clarification," "Centrifugal Clarification," "What the New Milk Clarifier Does," "Purity and Enhanced Keeping Quality of De Laval Clarified Milk," "Pasteurization of Milk," "Styles and Sizes of the new De Laval Centrifugal Milk Clarifier," "Construction and Operation of the Clarifier - Differences from the Separator," and "Commendation of the New De Laval Milk Clarifier from the Highest Possible Sources," among others.
