A Very Good copy. A satirical play co-written by Anita Loos (1888-1981) and her husband, John Emerson (1874-1956). Loos was an American playwright and screenwriter who worked with Hollywood studios such as MGM. She would write her famous comic novel, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, after this work. Emerson was an American director, producer, playwright, and stage actor. He and Loos frequently collaborated on projects. The Whole Town's Talking is about a comedic love triangle involving Chester Binney, a war veteran; Ethel Simmons, the daughter of a butter and egg magnate who tries to set them up; and Rita Renault, a movie star.
