Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into a deeply personal and emotionally charged conflict that unfolded in the 19th century. It focuses on the tragic death of a prominent businessman and the subsequent accusations levied against his close associates, most notably, John A. Lowell, who held a prominent position within the family's business and personal life. The author, a participant in this tumultuous period, offers a detailed account of the events that unfolded, shedding light on the complex relationships and simmering tensions within the Boott family. The book is a fascinating exploration of the power dynamics and personal betrayals that often accompany wealth and privilege in a rapidly changing society. It delves into the complexities of family relationships, especially those interwoven with business and financial interests, and the moral dilemmas that arise in the face of ambition and greed. The author's passionate defense of his own actions and his thorough documentation of the events surrounding the tragedy provide a unique perspective on the ethical and legal ramifications of business practices and the enduring impact of family conflict. Ultimately, this book offers a compelling glimpse into the private lives of a powerful family during a period of great social and economic upheaval, revealing the human cost of ambition and the consequences of unchecked personal conflict. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
