Gautherot was a contemporary and friend of the more well-known Pierre Verger, and like him captured both Brazil's indigenous cultures and its urban environment and modern emergence. Well printed and generously illustrated with 65 full-page photos, most from the 40's and 50's. Rare and recommended. Two exhibition pamphlets are tipped inside the front cover.
