First ed., first printing; 92 p., clean and otherwise unmarked on fine paper only mildly age-toned; drawings nearly as witty as the text by Jeff MacNelly; binding tight; blue boards with still bright scarlet gilt lette…ring on spine perfectly protected by glossy pictorial d.j., clean but somewhat yellowed, with small closed tear at crown of spine; some label ghosts.Sample: "Broad-Based Constituency," pictured as an enormous bird-like creature in overalls seated, spilling over, on a straight-backed chair many sizes too small. "A cow never voluntarily sits down [.]the Broad-Based Constituency, on the contrary, never voluntarily stands up [.] In consequence of its sedentary existence, the Broad-Based Constituency suffers from nerve and muscle deterioration in its lower back and demands to be regularly stroked or massaged." Among descriptions of the ways the BBC becomes a great burden to politicians:"Often they will leave in the middle of a party just to run home and give the Constituency a few biscuits and kibbles and a glass of cold milk.".
