Aggiungi al carrello[vi], 7-11. This small volume by Douglas Crawford McMurtry (1888-1944) discusses the first example of a printed document in British Columbia. McMurtry was a well-known American creator and historian of typefaces. He served as the printing manager for the Colombia University Press Printing Office, the Arbor Press, and Conde Nast Press, as well as being involved established the formatting style of the New Yorker. He was a founder of the Continental Type Founders Association, which imported types from Europe, and at one point served as the editor for Ars Typographica magazine. He also produced a number of scholarly studies of print technology, of which this work is an example. He was particular interested in studying the earliest examples of presses. This volume was privately printed in 1931 and only 250 copies were made. It was reprinted from the December 1930 issue of the Printing Review of Canada. This copy is in very good condition. There is some fading and chipping to the paper wrappers, but internally it is in excellent condition.
