Compilation of pieces from "World Order", the Baha'i Magazine that first appeared between April, 1940 and September, 1941. Very good, previous ownership signature top edge of the front free endpaper and a partially removed Baha"i-themed bookplate front pastedown. Mable Hyde Paine (1877-1955) was an early American Baha'i who helped found the Local Spiritual Assembly in Urbana, Illinois. She discovered the faith in1912 and helped found the Local Spiritual Assembly in Urbana in 1920. She went on two pilgrimages to the Holy Land, the first in 1920 during which she met Abdu'l-Baha; on the second, in1931, she met Shoghi Effendi and assited the development and administration of the faith according to his guideline. Paine contributed numerous articles to The Baha'i Worls and World Order publications.
