Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: Very good. First Edition. Quarto, 44pp., illustrated by Fern Bisel Peat. A very good copy in the publisher's printed boards with black cloth spine. Modest wear to extremities, but a sound, clean copy. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Frank and Fern Peat on the front free endpaper: To the George Campbells With best wishes, Frank E. Peat / Fern Bisel Peat." Taped to that same page is a news clipping, containing Clement C. Moore's "Visit From St. Nicholas." There is attendant tonin, and a opiece of tape covers (but does not obscure) part of Fern Peat's signature. Fern Bisel Peat was a prolific illustrator of children's books and toys. She worked mostly in-house at the Saalfield Publishing Company, a massive children's book publisher in Akron. Her autograph--and her husband's--seem to be quite scarce in commerce.
