La seconde partie consiste en une étude sur l'âme des bêtes, la phrénologie et une réflexion sur le suicide. Enfin, le dernier tiers du volume est entièrement consacré au magnétisme animal, à la thérapeutique magnétique, aux pathologies et aux dangers qui peuvent éventuellement découler de cette pratique.
