Limited edition of 250 copies. This copy is #51. Bound in red levant morocco, solid gilt and tooled edges, blue moire silk endpapers and flyleaves, extra gold panelled lines on the back and sides with emblematic ornaments. Condition is fine with a little wear to the front silk flyleaf. Still a fine, bright copy with bright gilt edges. Excellent copy.

A little wear to the spine, the upper cover entirely detached, scattered foxing to early and late leaves, and to the margins of some inserted illustrations; offsetting at some plates, a clean very good copy otherwise. This copy has been extra-illustrated with 60 additional plates, quite professionally executed, the original illustrations being bound in at the rear. The extra plates include many early engravings, several in colour, and several folding views. In a plain, brown cloth slipcase. A nicely Graingerized copy of this classic.
