Durch die angegebenen Referenzen ist das Auffinden vertiefender Fachliteratur ohne weiteres möglich. Insgesamt gibt es in diesem Buch 308 Tabellen, die dabei Helfen das Wissen zu strukturieren. Die über 699 Abbildungen lassen das Lehrbuch fast wie einen Atlas wirken und ergänzen in bestechende Weise den Lehrtext. Als besonders hilfreich empfand ich die Flowsheets, mit deren Hilfe auch der Unerfahrene differentialdiagnostische Überlegungen anstellen kann. Zu guter letzt vermittelt der Hardcovereinband einen stabilen Eindruck und sorgt auch nach intensiver Nutzung für eine lange Lebenszeit des Buches. Fazit: Ein zeitloses Buch, denn die typisch auftretenden kinderdermatologischen Krankheitsbilder verändern sich ja fast gar nicht in ihrem Aussehen.
