Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Engraved frontispiece, [12], 60p, [1], [100]. Contemporary calf with gilt ruled boards and richly gilt spine. Edited by Michael Maittaire (1668-1747) and first printed in 1713. See Lamb #180. Not in Dibdin or Moss. Contemporary signature of Thomas Tagg 1751 ex dono J. Beauvoir. on the inside front blank. J. Beauvoir could be James de Beauvoir III (1703-1764) and Richard his son. Its quite possible that James gave the book to William and that it came back to Richard at a later date. Also includes a signature of Richard Beauvoir written upside down on the rear end paper. A fresh clean copy in a well preserved contemporary binding.
