Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Red leather spine strip with gilt decoration. Textured red cloth on the boards. Text block ends are gilt. 400 pages; 384 b/w gravures; supplement; index. French language. The spine strip is rubbed on the corners, as are a few other small placed; one corner has a 1/8 in. chip. The boards' bottom, fron…t corners are threadbare, and the top ones are less so. The cloth has shelf wear soiling and three, light stains. About 90% of the pages have foxing, from one 1/4 in. spot to myriad spots on the first and last several pages. Scans e-mailed upon request. Softcover Spiral. Condizione: Good. Limited Edition. Exhibition Catalog; This catalog is quite wonderful, and in terrific condtion EXCEPT for the lamentable fact that the front cover has almost entirely broken off. The clever idea was hatched to have the front cover of the catalog be made of a stiff translucent plastic, with a c…olorful decoration on it, but sadly, the plastic has split, leaving the edge with the holes in one place and the rest of the cover in another. I think the plastic was just too brittle for the job, because the book shows little sign of prior use and does not appear to have been handled much. I see no chance of any repair, but if the content is what you care about, everything is there, neat and clean. Fast shipping world wide.

L'édition originale de cet ouvrage est de 1733, Grenoble, de l'imprimerie André Faure, in'4 de 26 pp. L'auteur était un marchand épicier "impotant et rongé par le gouthe à l'excès quoiq'âgé seulement de 46 ans" ainsi que le dit une lettre signée : "De Lorme" et datée de Grenoble 15 novembre 1733." Au sujet de "Coupi de la lettra" et de la préface de Michal-Ladichère : "Cette plaquette contient la copie de la lettre écrite par Blanc dit la Goutte, à un de ses amis, au sujet de l'inondation arrivée à Grenoble, le 20 décembre 1740." [VICAIRE I, 812, 813], [CARTERET III, 95].Vicaire (et Carteret qui le copie) ne mentionnent pour la deuxième partie que IX-21 pp., soit seulement "Coupi de la lettra", son exemplaire ne comporterait ni "Jaquety et le Comare" ni le glossaire et le feuillet de table final.
