L'attachement de Waddington au calvinisme (Ramus fut une des victimes de la Saint-Barthélémy) n'est sans doute pas… étranger à l'intérêt porté à ce philosophe humaniste qui a notamment contribué à révolutionner l'enseignement des mathématiques à l'Université. Exemplaire de travail avec de nombreuses soulignures aux crayons de couleurs rouge et bleu.
