Its founder, Frankln Loehr, started his career as a Presbyterian minister. He held advanced degrees in theology and psychology and sometime in the late 40s or early 50s he broke with organized religion as he felt that his calling was to scientifically demonstrate the truth of what many considered unbelievable-and that included prayer, psychic phenomena, and reincarnation, among others. Indeed his motto was ?Adding facts to faith.? In the late 50s, Loehr published the groups most famous work "The Power of Prayer on Plants" (1959). The group was active until the death of Franklin Loehr in the 1980.
