Condizione: Very Good. New Edition. Full straight grain calf leather binding. Spine with five raised bands, black morocco title label, gitl decorated compartments. Boards with single gilt fillet border, gilt decorated edges, blind tooled turn-ins. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Slight rubbing to spine and board edges. Good so…lid binding with no cracking to joints. Light foxing to blanks, very clean text throughout. From the library of Williamstrip Park, Coln St. Aldwyns - seat of the Hicks-Beach family. Inscribed to verso of front free endpaper by Sir Michael Hicks Beach; 1st Earl of St. Aldwyn and 9th Baronet of Beverston. He had a long political career serving as a Conservative MP from 1864 until 1906, twice serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer and briefly as Leader of the Opposition in 1886. . Overall condition is Very Good. Size: 4.25 x 6.75 inches (11 x 17 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 12mo. 301.
