(Book is not dated but in HathiTrust there is an identical copy dated 1915 in their library holdings) Hardcover. Stated New Edition, Revised and Enlarged by J.W. Dawson. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Very Good; insect mottling to lower portion of fron and rear board; insect mottling to board top and bottom edges; light dust soiling to textblock top. No DJ. Red cloth boards and spine with bright black lettering on the spine and front board with checkerboard picture on front board. Clean internals. Internal hinges are sound and not split. Pages 1-7 are not numbered 8-208 [6] 4 pages of Chess and Checker books in rear. This book is not for the beginner as sufficient knowledge about the game would be required to master this material. After a time the player can consult the examples given in this book which will give strategy sufficient for years of careful study. A clean very presentable copy.
