Longue lettre à propos du désir du chevalier Isle de quitter son poste à Cherbourg et venir à Rochefort, en échangeant son poste avec celui d'un autre chevalier (nom illisible) alors à Rochefort. Vaudreuil a envoyé la demande et il faut qu'une autre demande parte de Brest. Il saura la réponse par M. de Fleurieu ou M. De Malezieu. Finalement, il n'ira pas à Rochefort et sera appelé en novembre à la place de Fleurieu à Paris (sous-inspecteur au dépôt général des cartes). Intéressant passage sur la période : « Les électeurs de cette province sont assemblés depuis deux jours à Saintes dans la Cathédrale, je souhaite qu'ils fassent un bon choix.
