I'VE HAD IT FOR ABOUT TWENTY YEARS. THE UMITIGATINGLY TEDIOUS BLURB SAYS IT'S ABOUT A MORTGAGE MANAGER OF A BUILDING SOCIETY. I SUPPOSE YOU MIGHT ARGUE THAT 'IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE' , ONE OF THE MOST WELL LOVED MOVIES OF ALL TIME HAS A SIMILAR SETTTING; MAYBE THERE'S MORE TO IT THAN MEETS THEY EYE. THE COVER'S QUITE INTERESTING AND THE CHAP AT THE DESK BEARS A RESEMBLANCE TO ROY FULLER; PERHAPS HE SAT FOR IT. FULLER WAS, OF COURSE, A PROFESSOR OF POETRY AT OXFORD UNIVERSITY, SO ONE COULDN'T POSSIBLY DOUBT HIS ABILITY TO WRITE. BUT, STILL, I JUST CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO SIT DOWN AND INVEST THE TIME IN READING IT. SO I SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO ANYYONE WHO WOULD TAKE IT OFF MY HANDS AND LET ME KNOW IF IT'S ANY GOOD. CONDITION WISE IT'S NOT TOO TERRIBLE: THE FOREDGE IS FOXED BUT THE BINDING'S SOUND AND THE JACKETS ALL RIGHT. THERE ARE NO PREVIOUS OWNER'S INSCRIPTIONS. PERHAPS NO ONE HAS EVER READ IT.
