He found the Nubas, a southern Sudanese people living in the region around Kordofan, and spent time with the tribe, photographing their rituals and way of life and writing about their customs. One of the classics of photographic literature, originally published in France in 1955. Photographs and text by George Rodger; introduction by Peter Hamilton; translated by Liz Heron.
