Some tears to binding between spines and boards, notably on Volume III. Top of spine of Volume IV torn. Cracking to some hinges, most notably in Volume I. Text blocks generally bound well with periodic instances of wear. Light markings. Ex-library from the Medical and Chirurgical Society of Maryland, with assorted bookplates, stampings, and inscriptions. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear.
