With the advent of newer techniques for dose reduction coupled with the development of more sensitive detectors, the radiation doses in radiological medical investigation are decreasing. This paper gives the account of the development of a new and sensitive phosphor CaSO4: Mn and its characterization. The PL excitation spectra of Mn2+ showed four intense peaks in the wavelength region 252 nm. These spectra showed that the greatest absorption for Mn2+ emission cover a region from 552 nm, 761 nm, 1010 nm. Approximately I concluded that these materials are emitting the green-reddish light applications. 88 pp. Englisch.

Los espectros de excitación PL del Mn2+ mostraron cuatro picos intensos en la región de la longitud de onda de 252 nm. Estos espectros mostraron que la mayor absorción para la emisión de Mn2+ cubre una región de 552 nm, 761 nm, 1010 nm.
