Leading them back to the ancient civilization, they disrupt the forcefield and engage in a fierce battle, resulting in many deaths and Amelia's critical injury due to malfunctioning suits during emergency time travel.Amelia is rushed to a special medical facility in the present, but her injuries prove fatal. In an emotional farewell, she dies in Robert's arms. Devastated, Robert vows to continue their work. In a final act of desperation, he touches the energy stone, absorbing its power, and sets the stage for future confrontations and discoveries.
