Wear to envelope. Smudging to both sides of envelope. Small lines on the back of envelope. Sunning to envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Washington, DC. No markings to the extra souvenir sheet inside the envelope. The stamp is multicolor and represents a letter in an envelope ready for mailing with many stamps attached. The souvenir sheet also includes an illustration of the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument. There is also a replica signature of the then Postmaster General of the United States, Lawrence F. O'Brien who would then go on to be the third Commissioner for the National Basketball Association. There is an address on the front of the envelope in blue ink and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside. To keep the envelope's shape, an index card is inside the envelope.
