Salvatore Emanuele Samperi, catanese di nascita, cantante lirico nella vita, con questo suo romanzo racconta della storia di Tinuzza, una brunetta catanese quindicenne. Nell'estate del 1939, dopo un banale invito a una festa, la sua vita improvvisamente prende una direzione… in discesa e senza sbocco. Infatti diventa autrice e al contempo vittima di una serie di rocambolesche vicende, tutte veicolo di precipizio nell'abisso più profondo dell'animo umano. Tinuzza tenterà di venirne fuori, ma resterà vittima delle convenzioni sociali, degli eventi drammatici legati al momento storico che la Sicilia vive in quel periodo. L'aura di sconfitta che aleggia lungo la narrazione muta col progredire e la protagonista sembra cercare riscatto dalla sua predestinazione di vinta e perdente, approdando alla condizione di consapevolezza della scelta, della volontà di scadere sempre più in basso e poi di riemergere. E il riscatto si fa metafora per il protagonista maschile, Manfredi, perché sarà l'abbrivio per la rielaborazione della sua vita in senso positivo. Libro.

Duncan Hannah was a key figure in the burgeoning New York underground arts scene, befriending Andy Warhol and his superstars, Lou Reed, Allen Ginsberg, Patti Smith, Salvador Dali, and many others. A graduate of the Parsons Schoo…l of Design, his paintings were exhibited in the influential 1980 Times Square Show alongside work by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and several of his paintings are held in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Based on the 1976 novel by Cesare Lanza, about an orphaned 15-year-old white girl's sexual relationship with a local mixed-race boy. Set in postwar Italy. 13.75 x 11 inches. Very Good, with pinholes at each corner, the top right portion of the card, and center of the bottom margin.
