Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: vg. First edition. 4to. 106 English pages + 14 pp. in Hebrew with Hebrew pagination. Beige cloth with brown cloth spine. Rabbi Seligmann Bear Bamberger, the "Würzburger Rav" (1807 - 1878) who is the root of the genealogical tree depicted in this work, was an important representative of Orthodox Judaism. He publicly debated the authorities of the newly formed liberal movements of Judaism. He founded the private "Israelite educational and teaching institution," which was followed in 1864 by the "Israelite teacher training institute in Wuerzburg." A supporter of Jewish immigration to Israel, he regularly sent money to the Holy Land and encouraged the construction of the first Jewish hospital in Palestine. Work is filled with charts, graphs, data and indexes. Minor scuffing to boards due to age, otherwise book is in very good condition.
