His field notebook for August 23, 1862 to March 19, 1863, "covering the period of his exploration of the Rovuma in boats and his return to the Zambesi regions, by way of the Comoro Islands, in the 'Pioneer' ", and includes all of the notes and sketches. 204 pp., followed by folding map.
