Volume I of a three-volume set, which incorporated the art and poetry of Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark and Sweden). Contents include architectural history, painting, sculpture, theater, poetry and music. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. The cloth shows only a hint of edgewear. The dust wrapper has light edgewear with three short closed tears (1/4" or less); no chips; not price-clipped.
