Copia autografata
8.5 x 5.5, cloth, 175 pp, covers rubbed and darkened, extremities bumped and fraying, hinges loose, spine soiled, contents toned with scattered spotting, last few pp with foredge creased. Scarce novel, WITH AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED, 2pp, dated July 10, 1954, to "Connie" neatly penned but with folds and some creasing and toning at right edges, explaining that the author and Connie had met on the Zaandam 15 years previously, and that he had dedicated this novel to her secretly! Another hand has written "answered July 22" on first page of letter, and the author's (?) photo is affixed to dedication page of book. Interesting.
