First edition, limited to 300 copies, of which this is the scarce hardcover edition. Slight uneven fading to the outer boards, discoloration to the endpapers, else a near fine copy. This is a German edition of the special issue of the Monotype Recorder from July 1926 which was devoted to Fournier. Loosely inserted is a type specimen sheet measuring 372 x 268 mm, printed one side only and folded once showing Fournier types from 10 to 18 point printed within a decorative border. A history of printing in France is followed by 10 pages of the Monotype revival of Fournier in 18, 14, 13, 12 and 10 point. quarter vellum over paper-covered boards, vellum tips.
