Contains an index of subjects. xvi, 427 pp. EXCERPT FROM THE INTRODUCTION: "This book is entitled 'Old Theology,' not so much because it endeavors to set forth Old-fashioned Theology in contradistinction to the 'New Theology,' of which we hear so much in the present day, as because it is an earnest attempt to set forth the Truth of God as revealed to us by the instrumentality of the oldest Fathers of the Church, the inspired writers of the New Testament." PROVENANCE: This book is from the library of Dr. James A. Stewart. Stewart was a prominent Scottish fundamentalist evangelist who also wrote books, started a publishing company and directed the Russian Bible Society. Stewart was the first preacher from the West to go behind the Iron Curtain after World War II. In 1970 there was a fire in his home leaving dark smoke marks on some books. There is no smoke odor. This book is signed by Dr. Stewart on the front flyleaf. CONDITION: Overall VG. Shows overall wear and some fading. Inner hinges have cracked, and the outer joint at the head of the spine is starting, yet boards remain firmly attached. Occasional marginalia and underlining.
