Dedicated to the New York Riding Club. Contains 142 plates depicting different movements and instruction on execution. Description: 139 pages (6" x 8 3/4" x 3/4"). Condition: Hardback with lovely dark green cloth. Silver lettering on cover. Remarkably close to fine and bright all around.Struss notes in his preface that there are quite a number of books dedicated to horseback riding and horse-training but none specializing in Ring-Riding. So he wrote one. This book remains an authoritative reference on the subject and is not only useful in principles and basic ring-riding instruction but provides countless examples of movements for 2 to 12 riders. A classic, 120 years young.FULLY SIGNED on the dedication page by the author Henry W. Struss with additional inscriptions by the author's great, great grandniece fully signed, and her uncle Henry W.
