NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. Color illustrions. A one-off comic book based on the first political radiophonic sitcom which aired on Europe1 in the late 1970's. The wildly populare show propelled the writers Collaro and Guy Montagne to the top of the radio audience. The cartoon lampoons French political life by rewriting it as a pirate adventure. The comic story is a caricature of the French political scene in the 1960 and 70's and includes Marchais-deux-dents (Georges Marchais, captain of a pirate ship), Raymond Jean Bart (Raymond Barre, privateer to the king), Chirackam Le Rouge (Jacques Chirac, bloodthirsty pirate), Surcouf de Murville (Maurice Couve de Murville, corsair). Other politicians appear, always in the form of sailors.

Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Sehr gut. 1. Auflage. Z : 17 x 24 cm, 164 pages, 90 color and 25 b/w illustrations and plans - Opened as part of the 1937 International Exhibition, the Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris (MAM) has always had its home in the eastern wing of Palais de Tokyo. After a major refurbishment directed by Paris-based h2o architectes, in collaboration with design firm Studio GGSV, it has been re-inaugurated in October 2019. This book documents the creation of the new MAM. Alongside brief essays and a conversation with h2o architectes founding partners Jean-Jacques Hubert and Antoine Santiard, it features plans and visualizations as well as historic photographs. The construction process is illustrated through a photo essay by artist Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann and reportages by photographer Myr Muratet and architect-photographer Stéphane Chalmeau.

This book presents a comprehensive overview of the development of engraving in Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, and the United States. The author's analysis explores the ways in which engraving has evolved as both a technique and art form within the broader history of printmaking. Additionally, the book examines the varying roles that engraving has played in the development of artistic movements and its increasing acceptance as an artistic medium in its own right. Providing a rich historical context for the works discussed, the book also sheds light on the influence engraving has had on the art world and the ways in which it has reflected and advanced societal developments and artistic trends. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

His work derives its power from the balance between the outer line and what it contains. "Illustration is such a beautiful way of telling about my all-time love affair with fashion", he admits. And so each of his artworks is presented as a valentine. With 115 illustrations this book shows us Piet Paris' powerful images of fashion from the nineties until now. His illustrations are colourful compositions of beauty, humour and intelligence that capture the essence of fashion in timeless works of art. AUTHOR: Fashion illustrator Piet Paris has been working for magazines and corporate clients all over the world for more than twenty years. Paris developed a special technique that makes his work unique in its multi-layeredness and vigorous composition. ILLUSTRATIONS: 115 colour. Hardback.
