No dust jacket (as issued?). Dark tan woven cloth boards; some soiling and light staining to front board's paper title/author label. Some toning to endpaper…s; first several leaves with minor fractional chipping at upper fore-edge margins; interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. Else a very good copy. Last page notes "Done into a book by Cynthia Hensel" but without any clarification to a role as a binder or perhaps a layout/typeset editor. Features a Foreword and twenty poems by John Thames. Although unfortunately without any indicative markings, this book was among a collection of Henry Bellamann (aka Heinrich Bellamann, 1882-1945) and Katherine Bellamann (1877-1956) material obtained from a family descendant. Novelist, poet, and music professor Henry Bellamann is best known for his 1940 novel KINGS ROW. Bellamann enjoyed teaching and/or administrative positions at Chicora College [South Carolina], Julliard, Curtis Institute of Music, and Vassar College. His papers and those of his wife Katherine Jones Bellamann, a noted poet and author in her own right, are held by the University of Mississippi J.D. Williams Library Special Collections. {PoetryBox#4-Copy#1}.
