Although the cover states that there are 48 plates, there are actually 44 including the frontis. The total for these Ward Lock book normally inlcludes the pictorial endpapers. That being said both the plates and endpapers are very nice. Edgewear, lower corners and spine tips frayed. 340 pp.

With sixteen very nice full page colour plates by Theaker. The book is in lovely condition with an owner's signature on FFEP. Unpriceclipped jacket is worn, wrinkled and chipped and has done a superb job of protecting the book. 128 pp.
