The front free endpaper bears the signature of Barbara Ann Smith, who lists her dorm address in Hunter Hall, indicating she was a CSC education student in the early 1960s. A small 'C.S.C. Book Store' price sticker remains on the front pastedown, confirming campus bookstore purchase. Laid in is a vintage religious bookmark from Church of the Epiphany, Orange, New Jersey, included as found. Condition: Good. Green cloth boards with rubbing and scattered stains. Corners worn. Lightly annotated in pencil, as common for student copies. Spine gilt dulled but readable. Light penciling on front endpaper. Text block clean and fully legible with age toning consistent with 1950s stock. Binding sound. No institutional library markings. Edition/Printing: First Edition, First Printing, identified by the code 159.3 A and the absence of later printing statements. Ernest W. Tiegs was a noted professor of education at Los Angeles State College and a specialist in curriculum development and instructional psychology. Fay Adams, professor of education at the University of Southern California, contributed extensively to mid-20th-century teacher-training methodology, especially in elementary social studies. Loaded with photographs of vintage classroom settings.
