Binding is tight and spine is straight. Cloth secure over corners. Some shelfwear to the top and bottom edges of boards, at spine ends and upper and lower front corners. Black and white pictorial front and back endpapers. Pages are clean and unmarked, save for the words "Property of Jay L. Smith Chester NY" stamped on a blank page before the rear endpapers. Black dust jacket with white titles on spine and front cover. Black and white photo of Captain Jeff on front cover and one on back. Front flyleaf is split about halfway down but there have been no tape repairs. Split is visible at front fore-edge, through mylar sleeve. Back flyleaf firmly and completely attached. Jacket is presented under mylar. Small chips missing at lower front left as cover and spine meet. Missing chip at upper left corner in front. White spot showing through black of jacket next to the second F in Jeff on front cover. White crease running up and down length of front edge of spine.
