The contents consist of the Introduction and "List of Plates" printed on one sheet folded to make four pages and 50 separate reproductions tipped on to individual mounting sheets. Four of the plates are in color and 46 are monochromes. There is a corner crease on the introduction and some slight toning to the mounting sheets. There is some shelfwear on the rear panel of the portfolio.

The reproductions in this book cover his life's work from an early portrait in 1915 to the portraits of women and still-lifes done in England.
