In this episode, Spenser helps a teenager who has inherited her gambler father's alcohol addiction. Set and shot on location in Boston. This Golden Globe-nominated film, television and stage actor is best remembered as Dan Tanna in the t.v. crime drama "Vega$" (1978-81) and also for "Spenser: For Hire" (1985-88); he died at age 55 from cancer. An unusually early and bold and handsome "Best Wishes / Robert Urich" in black ballpoint on a special heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., which he dates 30 June 1976. Fine. With original envelope. Accompanied by a superb 9" X 7" black and white glossy photograph, a 1978 half-length publicity portrait of Urich in front of a lit up "VEGA$" sign for the ABC premiere of that series. An exceptionally early, pre-Dan Tanna example.
