Juni 2016 in Neuenburg), Schweizer Politiker (SP), Bundesrat (1978?1987).- Christophe Vorlet (1957-2022) war ein schweizerisch-amerikanischer Illustrator und Künstler. Er war bekannt für seine hochgradig konzeptionellen redaktionellen Illustrationen zu…komplexen Themen, und seine Arbeiten erschienen in vielen national und international bekannten und anerkannten Publikationen, darunter The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Forbes und The Atlantic. Vorlets Ölgemälde, Mischtechniken und Illustrationen mit Tinte auf Papier zeigen oft Menschen oder humanoide Figuren, Symbole und rein dekorative Formen und Gestalten, die in ihrem Stil von realistisch bis abstrakt reichen. Nach dem Abschluss seines Studiums an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste im Jahr 1978 und einer Lehre als Grafiker besuchte Vorlet die School of Visual Arts in New York City. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Zürich im Jahr 1979 machte er sich schnell einen Namen, indem er für Zeitungen und Zeitschriften illustrierte, Plattencover entwarf, Wandbilder malte und seine Kunst in verschiedenen Galerien ausstellte. 1989 zog er zurück nach New York City und 1991 liess er sich mit seiner Familie in Charlottesville, Virginia, nieder. 2200 gr.
