Bound in tan cloth with brown titles and illustration to front board and spine. Illustrated by J. Clemens Gretter, with frontispiece intact. This is an ex-library copy with "Discarded" stamp and library markings from St. John Fisher School Library. Spine and binding remain tight with some visible splitting at front cover hinge; separation beginning at the gutter (see photos). Several pages show tears or splits near the gutter, but the text remains complete and legible. Front endpapers have paper loss where pocket removal occurred. Boards show edge wear, fraying, and softening at corners. Pages are toned consistent with age.
