Contains a short sample of "Love Sends a Little Gift of Roses" also published by J. Albert & Son "manufacturers of the world famous Boomerang Mouth Organ." Although attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, we do not believe these words were actually written by him. It was not uncommon in the late 19th and early 20th century for composers and music publishers to "borrow" a famous writer's name to help sell their songs. *OCLC* locates five holdings of this Australian edition.…

Features short samples of "Little Gray Mother O' Mine" by Evans Lloyd and "Let Me Call You Sweetheart," by Beth Slater Whitson and Leo Friedman. Although attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, we do not believe these words were actually written by him. The photo on the front cover appears to be a singing group, but their names are not printed. This publication is interesting for its size as most sheet music after 1918 began to be manufactured at around 9" x 12" to fit the new, smaller piano benches being built at the time, this publication resembles the pre-1918 sheet music and measures out to be 10" x 14." Although attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, we do not believe these words were actually written by him. It was not uncommon in the late 19th and early 20th century for composers and music publishers to "borrow" a famous writer's name to help sell their songs. Also of note is who published it, Herman Darewski was a composer and performer, whose endeavors in publishing were short and unsuccessful, though afterwards he went on to have a successful career as a conductor of light music; as a composer, he is probably best remembered for writing the music for the 1917 musical comedy, *The Better 'Ole*. This edition is unrecorded by *OCLC*.…
