Soft cover. Condizione: Fair. Culinary Arts Press. 1936. Reading, PA. Mid-size, staple-bound. It is unusual for a softcover book to be enclosed in a dust jacket, but this one is. The book is quite worn, commensurate with its age, but the dust jacket is still firm. By the way, the inside of the dust jacket is completely filled - top to bottom - with commentaries on all of the Culinary Arts Press published books, up to 1936. The original price of 15 cents is imprinted on the front cover. There is no writing in the book, and there is no odor. There are charming line drawings on virtually every page. 48 pages. Securely packed in a lidded box for protection during shipment.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Troutman, Warren G. (illustratore). 1st Edition. Hardcover in very good condition. Hand made and hand painted Wooden cover boards with green cloth hinges, attached to a fixed spine which extends about a half inch in from the edge and attaches to the separate cover board, so that it flips open quite nicely. The wooden cover features a painting of a boy in a sombrero smoking a cigarette and standing next to a cactus in a desert landscape. The painting appears to be painted directly on to the light yellow painted boards. The wood grain shows through the painted back round and figure. The wooden cover seems to be one of a kind. The handmade wooden cover was retrofitted to a periodical from Culinary Arts, Volume 1, Number 5, published in 1936 in Reading, Pennsylvania. "The Western Cookbook; 250 Tempting Recipes; Many Characteristic Northwestern, Southwestern and Mexican Recipes" has it's own green card cover and saddle stapled binding. The back green cover is glued to the surface of the back wooden board. 48 pp.
