Aviation Book Club edition - first printing thus; medium 8vo (215 x 140mm); 222 pages, plus 15 pages of facsimile log-book; with 15 plates (photographs), and a double-page line cutaway drawing of the aircraft; hardback: original green cloth; slight bumpiing to bottom edge, otherwise covers in very good, clean condition; foxing to endpapers and page edges, and some spots internally, top edges browned (printed on cheap paper), otherwise a very good, tight copy in the plain green dust-jacket, which has a couple of spots of foxing, and is a little frayed at top of spine, but is otherwise in very good condition. Apart from the foxing, a very nice copy. Full account of the famous round-the-world flight of the Lockheed Vega "Winnie Mae" in June 1931. There is no publication date, so the date I have stated is approximate.

Art Deco cover art of the Winnie Mae, a modified Lockheed 5C Vega hurtling across the globe (chipping & minor tears to upper fore-edge, minor chipping head of spine, couple closed tears), still VG/G- copy. Garden City reprint of this work detailing the world record flight around the world by Post and navigator Garry in eight days. Tragically the introduction was written by Will Rogers, with whom Wiley Post was killed in August, 1935 in a plane crash near Point Barrow, Alaska.
