The binding is cracked between pages in several areas, front hinge tape repaired, the pages are clean, some toning. Cheerful pictorial frontispiece in color plus black-and-white illustrations throughout the book by Carll B Williams. About the author: Frances Trego Montgomery (February 18, 1858 - April 5, 1925) was a prolific writer of children's stories during the early twentieth century. She is best known for her popular "Billy Whiskers" series, which were about the misadventures of a mischievous but somewhat short-tempered goat.
