Dieser einzigartige Schatz europäischer Mode- und Textilgeschichte der Renaissance und des Frühbarocks, der nach mehr als 75 Jahren endlich wieder der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich ist, soll nun auch mit einem Ausstellungsführer gewürdigt werden. Er berücksichtigt jedes der 27 ausgestellten Herrschergewänder (6 vollständige Kostümensembles, 11 Anzüge mit Wams und Hose, 4 Damenkleider, 6 einzelne Obergewandstücke) wie auch neben diesen ausgestellte Fürstenbildnisse, Accessoires und preziöse Prunkwaffengarnituren. Kleider machen Leute - Kleider machen Politik: Herrscherkostüme und Haute Couture aus der Zeit zwischen 1550 und 1650.
