Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 12"x 8.5" (30cm), leaves (printed on one side only). I'm not sure what the process of printing/reproduction is here--it may be a mechanical type except for the equations, which may be done in ink by hand. The rendered equations are beautiful and fine and exact--that said, the numbers/letters/symbols are all slightly irregular. I think that text was printed leaving space for the equations, which were added later in the process. __+__ I see in WorldCat that there is a printed version located that is slightly shorter (27cm) and with far fewer pages (27)--also the printing is established at Leipzig. There is no reference that I can find for this edition--perhaps this is the author's full dissertation. __+__ There seems never to have been a title page for this work. Original cloth-tape spine with cardboard covers. The covers are browned and chipped though they've survived not-so-badly given their inferior material. The text is tight, and bright, and crisp.

Manoscritto / Collezionismo cartaceo
No Binding. Condizione: Good. Woinowsky-Krieger, S. Uber die Biegung dunner rechteckiger Platten durch Kreislasten. Carbon copy of the typed original, with what seems to be hand-written equations. This paper was published in Ingenieur-Archiv, v3 n3 (193206): 236-250, June, 1932. 11.75"x 8.25". 19 leaves. VG condition. Staple bound with plain paper covers. Somewhere in the distant past this paper seems to have been folded in half (horizontally), with a faint memory of the indentation visible. [++] I suppose Woinowsky is best remembered for their contribution as co-author with Stephen Timoshenko of the famous "Theory of Plates and Shells".
